In Memory of David Michael Swope

About

Your Story

My name is Maren and my family and I are starting this campaign in honor of our father and husband, David Michael Swope.  My father was a Lieutenant with the 101st Airborne Rakkasans in Vietnam from 1967 to 1968.  In his home, is a collage of photographs of the Vietnamese children that my dad the honor to interact with in Vietnam.  Whenever people would ask about the collection of photos, my dad would simply reply, "they reminded me that there is still good in the world.”

The Impact

Because of my father's example, throughout his entire life, we believe there is still good in the world.  And the most authentic and brightest goodness is and always will be in the hearts of children.  By donating to this cause, you will help children all over the world be freed from the terrible darkness of sex trafficking.  You will help fund rescue missions, spread knowledge and awareness of the cause, you will become an advocate for those who cannot advocate for themselves and you will continue to be a part of the good in this world.

Amount: $ 1000.00

This cause is worthy beyond measure. But my response is a personal tribute to the man in whose memory this fundraising is being undertaken. Dave Swope was an officer and a gentleman, a true professional, a man of honor and integrity, a lover of people, and a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was a wise, kind and gentle friend who made a difference in my life. Now, in his memory, we can make a difference in the lives of others.
