I was never sold as a sex slave. I was born privileged and viewed innocence as a common right. I trusted the adults that I was under the protection of, and never worried about where my next meal was going to come from. I still am that child, however, like most children, I became educated. When I learned about the children that did not have the same security as I did, and the children that raped, abused, and not mentally taken care of, it was infuriating. I came across O.U.R. in research and knew I had to join their cause.
2.2 million children are sold as sex slaves every year. These children are not given the right of innocence. Without organizations like O.U.R. and the volunteers that support them, enslavement today would go unrecognized and victims would have no hope of a safer future. It is extremely important for those of us that are blessed with fortune to assist those whom are indigent so that all people have a chance to succeed. Please consider what life is like for these children, and donate. Thank you.
